Not a great deal to report today as most of today was simply spent getting from A to B. We headed off early after a light breakfast and managed to exit Hamadan without any difficulty at all. The next several hours were spent driving via smaller towns to get to Kashan. A brief moment of excitement ensued when we took a wrong turn near Arak and started heading to Khomein instead of the Qom, Tehran direction we had wanted. After realising our mistake we made a U turn a little way down the road but unfortunately this turned out to be close to a military base. A group of 6 soldiers spotted us and waved us down but after a brief chat and explanation we were sent on our way to my great relief - they carry rather large machine guns these boys.Anyway we finally located the fairly new Negarestan Hotel and proceeded to unwind. A brief walk up the street and back followed by dinner at the hotel restaurant completed our day.
